To further enhance safety awareness, strengthen safety precautions, and ensure stable and orderly production during the National Day "dual holiday" period, a comprehensive pre-holiday safety inspection was conducted at Shanghai Xiangyin Road Tunnel Construction and Development Co., Ltd. (" Xiangyin Road Tunnel") on the morning of September 24. The inspection was led by Jiang Yun, Vice President of the group and the executive in charge of the Xiangyin Road Tunnel, in accordance with the deployment of the Group’s safety committee.
The 2025 overhaul of the Xiangyin Road Tunnel has been completed safely and successfully. The focus of this safety inspection was on the updated cross trenches, new water pumps, and road milling and paving carried out during the overhaul. Inspection personnel carefully assessed the smoothness and comfort of the tunnel road surface after milling and paving, as well as the replacement of cross trenches, during a drive-through. They then emphasized checks on escape passages, the corrosion remediation and protection of fire pipes on the basement’s fourth floor, and the wastewater pump room. Through remote control of the water pumps via the central control room, they observed the operational status of the pumps in detail based on a series of procedures, including startup speed, interlocking response, and water pumping. Vice President Jiang instructed maintenance personnel on-site to make full use of the new functions after the overhaul, continuously monitor the interlocking status of the water pumps, and ensure the protection of equipment and facilities while improving drainage capacity. Finally, inspections were carried out in the high and low voltage distribution rooms, emergency warehouses, peripheral facilities of the office building, and the charging safety of employee vehicles.
In the afternoon, the Xiangyin Road Tunnel held the 2025 overhaul completion acceptance meeting. Attendees included leaders from the Municipal Transportation Commission and the Road Transport Center, as well as representatives from the design, supervision, general contracting, and subcontracting units involved in the overhaul. During the meeting, the general contracting project manager and the supervision unit reported on the completion of various construction tasks, quality management throughout the construction process, and the control measures for safe and civilized construction. They also provided detailed reports on the acceptance status of each construction project and the preparation of archival materials. Leaders from the Municipal Transportation Commission and the Road Transport Center expressed full affirmation of the construction progress, quality, safety, and management measures in civilized construction for the Xiangyin Road Tunnel overhaul project. They also urged the Xiangyin Road Tunnel to continue advancing refined road maintenance in subsequent work, accumulate data on critical equipment and facilities, enhance road traffic safety and comfort, and fully ensure road safety and smooth traffic flow.
